Here's a video of Chinese PLA soldiers doing some bayonet drills - notice some of their technqiues and how they could apply toward the mounting technique of having the blade facing upward: I believe they did it that way due to their idea of the different thrusts and movements incorporated into their techniques.
AK 47 BAYONET KNIFE HOW TO
I've posed that question to a couple of friends that were in the Russian military and they never knew how to answer it as it was just something that was done. I believe the issue is revolving around why the bayonet is mounted with the blade edge facing upward considering the techniques those that have been in the US Army are taught.

Unlike other VVIP weapons, this weapon features a two-color effect roaming around its body. However, this weapon features a faster bayonet stab than the AK47-Beast, and has a special melee ability called 'Charge Shot'. The AK47-Knife Transformer is similar to the AK47-Beast in terms of stats. Disadvantages include low accuracy and high recoil after several shots. Among the main advantages of AK-47 are high damage and a relatively low price. To date, this is the most popular and widely used rifle in the world. I don't think that really does anything to help answer the OP's question. AK47-Knife Transformer is a VVIP assault rifle variant of the AK47 Knife. Based on a rifle developed in the Soviet Union in 1949. The bayonet will pierce flesh regardless of up/down orientation.

AK bayonets are not edge sharpened like most other bayonets, they are dull (and many have serrated cuts) to cause massive tissue and nerve damage.
